Ferro silicon alloy is a necessary deoxidizer in steelmaking. Adding some percentage of silicon to steel can obviously improve the hardness, strength, and elasticity of steel. Ferro silicon/FeSi is conmmonly used in foundry, steel, and other areas. In iron casting, ferro silicon alloy can be used as an inoculant of ductile iron, which can prevent the formation of carbide, promote the spheroidization of graphite and improve the performance of cast iron. Ferro silicon powder can be used as a suspension phase in the beneficiation industry, and can be used as a coating for welding rods in the welding rod manufacturing industry.
